QLD beekeeper requirements

Queensland

Queensland beekeepers must register European honey bee hives and meet general biosecurity obligations under Queensland biosecurity requirements. Use this page as a quick guide, then check the official links before relying on the information for compliance.

Registration

Queensland requires registration as a biosecurity entity if you keep one or more European honey bee hives. Native beehives do not need to be registered.
